This web-based instructional module is a multi-page introduction to calculus focusing on functions and their properties, differential calculus, and integral calculus. The module features the use of graphical images, explanatory videos, and a self-paced ten-question quiz with automatic feedback. This project was produced with Adobe Creative Suite, and, in particular, Dreamweaver.
Among the qualifications highlighted by this artifact are:
- Subject matter expertise in mathematics. The site offers a compact textual explanation of functions and differential and integral calculus that provides the student with a brief introduction to this branch of mathematics.
- Embedding graphics and videos. There are three short videos include in the site, and within these videos mathematical concepts and examples are presented using Winplot graphing software.
- Creating an interactive quiz. A short quiz is included to assess understanding of the lesson. There are fill in the blank, multiple choice, and true/false questions. Incorrect answers result in a prompt for the student to try again.
